Food Find: Unpeeled Kombucha

Okay. So part of the appeal (pun intended) of this kombucha is that it is locally made right here in the Twin Cities. The other part? Unlike the other commercially bottled kombucha out there, this one is as smooth as a baby's bottom and does not have the vinegary bite that some folks dislike. Now, I happen to like the bubbles + bite in the GT Dave's version, but this 'unpeeled kombucha' has won me over with it's drinkability and lovely ginger flavor.

Give it a try yourself at Linden Hills CoOp, Midtown Produce Exchange, Seward CoOp and other
fine stores near you. You'll be glad you did!

  1. This looks yummy. I always buy green tea w/ kombucha, maybe I'll just start buying this!

  2. I have purchased the store bought synergy Kombucha and I like it, but it is kinda pricey. Unfortunately I cant find this brand at my local store. After doing some research I did found a site called getkombucha.com which seems like it has a cost effective alternative to buying bottles every day. It seems popular. Has you used or this product, if so what did you think?

  3. Hi, Ron!

I have not personally made my own kombucha, but have friends that do! I've tasted their wares and it tastes very similar to 'unpeeled', i.e. not as robust as the Synergy brand. Let me know if you give it a try!
